Finnish Bears Women Continue Their Progress with Series Win Over Estonia

Cricket Finland congratulates our Finnish Bears Women National Team on an excellent weekend in Estonia, where they secured a 2-0 T20I series victory.

The results are a reflection of the consistent work this group has put in over the past year. Following a dedicated winter programme and a busy summer of training and camps, it is encouraging to see that commitment reflected in performances on the field.

This series also contributes to Finland’s progress in the ICC Women’s T20I rankings, strengthening the team’s international standing and increasing the visibility of Finnish women’s cricket. Each step forward helps create more opportunities for the game and highlights the continued growth of women’s cricket in Finland.

Congratulations to the entire squad on a well-deserved series victory. We look forward to seeing the team continue its development in the months ahead.

Srinidhi Ravindra Officiates at ICC U19 Men's CWC Europe Division 2 Qualifier 2026.

Fresh off his selection to the ICC European Umpire Development Panel A, Srinidhi Ravindra took to the field as part of the officiating team for the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup Europe Division 2 Qualifier 2026 — another marker of his growing international umpiring career and a proud moment for Cricket Finland.

Ravindra's involvement in the qualifier continues the trajectory that began with his Panel A appointment: a pathway built through years of officiating domestic and international matches on Finnish soil, now translating into opportunities on the wider European stage.

For Cricket Finland, seeing one of its own officiating a global qualifying event underscores the association's investment in umpire development and reinforces the pathway it has built for its officials to progress internationally.

🇫🇮🤝🇵🇹 FINLAND vs PORTUGAL | T20I SERIES | KERAVA CRICKET GROUND

Despite the weather having the final say, it was fantastic to host Portugal for a 5 match T20I series at Kerava Cricket Ground.

Unfortunately, persistent rain meant 3 of the 5 matches were abandoned, leaving just two completed games. Both claimed by Portugal to take the series 2-0. Congratulations to Portugal on the series victory! 👏🏆

Finland showed plenty of character throughout the series, especially in the second T20I, where they produced a spirited run chase and pushed Portugal all the way to the final stages, coming agonisingly close to pulling off a memorable win. It was a performance full of resilience and intent that promises plenty for the future.

A huge thank you to everyone involved players, officials, volunteers, and supporters for making the series possible despite the challenging weather. We look forward to welcoming Portugal back to Finland again soon! 💙
