What a brilliant first week of the 2026-27 year for SotoTennis Academy!

We’ve loved welcoming our full time players back to base and welcoming new players and staff to Team Soto ❤️

We rounded the week off with a fun Academy Values session and competitive 1 point Tournament, followed by our first Friday Circle of the new term ⭕️

A big well done to full time player Jason Wu for winning Player of the Week 🇨🇳🙌🏻

And a huge good luck to Gaby Dabrowski & Luisa Stefani who play their 2nd round match in the US Open Women’s doubles later today 💪🏻

We can’t wait to see what the 2026-27 year has in store!

FRIDAYS AT SOTO ☀️🇪🇸

Match play. Pressure. Energy.

We finished the week with competitive match play, followed by a One-Point Slam inspired by the Australian Open: fast, loud, and full of big points when it mattered.

We closed in the Soto Circle, where Head Coach Joe laid out the values and standards expected on and off the court for the year ahead.

We also had some special shout outs and said goodbye for now to some of our family heading on to their next chapter, once part of , always part of .

And to finish… our first Player of the Week was announced. 🏆

We’ve loved welcoming new and regular access players from all over the world to STA these past couple of months. We’ve also loved having some of our former full time players back from US College.

Good luck to Gaby Dabrowski who begins her US Open Mixed Doubles Qualifiying campaign today supported by STA Director Daniel Kiernan. 🙌

Gaby is teaming up with current ATP Doubles number 1 Harri Heliövaara as they face Mladenovic and Arevalo in the first round today at 4pm BST. ⏰

Harry Voss and Matthew Kiernan put in a great performance at the J30 Skopje in North Macedonia, reaching the Boys Doubles semi-finals. 👏
