Mahi the Pahi sauntering down the Galician coast on a very grey day. Here she’s a bit underpowered making 4.5 to 5 knots, we later put up the Yankee to hit a solid 7-8 knots in about 15 knot winds apparent (broad reach) 60+ miles done in 12 hours. A great first proper passage of the year

It’s hard to believe at the start of 2025 I was still well in the refit stage of this boat. I left the boatyard in June and every time we sailed to a new place or country it felt surreal that I was doing what I love the most, cruising in my dream boat! Especially after 2 years of blood and sweat on project which at times felt impossible.

This year has been a mad one. I met so many amazing people, had the best crew, put my boat to the test and hardly anything broke! I wish I could add more photos but here’s a cheeky dump

New video coming very soon!

Hola! I’m really sorry I haven’t been posting videos the last few weeks. I feel like after so much time grinding over the last few years I want to take some time to soak it all in without the pressure of making content. I love Mahi, I love the boat life, there’s no other life for me, but the constant pressure I put on myself to make half decent videos has been leaving me a bit stressed and low the last few months. I want to get back to feeling the joy of turning on the camera and sharing my stories through YouTube… already taking these past few weeks off has helped me start to feel the joy again. Over the next 4 months I’m going to post when it feels right, when I get that little fire in my belly for it, I’ve already filmed a few things and will post over the next few weeks…

I absolutely cannot wait for next year on Mahi and part of me is wanting to fast forward to the new season of sailing & upgrades, but rather than mope about grinding through another winter on my own I’m going to take more time to visit family and friends and travel with lovely people, and go hard into surfing, I’ve heard it’s good for the body and soul 🙂

Stay tuned for an update in a few weeks!

I’m finally posting a new video tonight! It’s a proper good watch if you want to learn about what all those wires and black boxes actually do in your outboard motor and what to expect when they all go wrong

This engine has been a very expensive lesson, but it’s fair to say Big Steve and I have learned a boat load about outboard electrics.

She definitely stands out a bit!

These windows will take a pounding from the sea. Let’s hope I’ve fixed ‘em good enough in tonight’s episode! 🤠
