Some days on the water test your patience⏳🤔, and this was definitely one of them.😉
The wind was blowing hard, the sea was giving us a proper workout, and to top it off, it was Michal’s birthday! He and Zuzana had already tried a few other fishing charters before booking with us, so the pressure was on to actually get them on some decent fish.
We threw everything at it—trolling rigged ballyhoo and deep-running lures, dropping natural bait to the bottom, and throwing metal jigs on spinning gear. We worked hard through the rough chop all day, keeping the energy high, but the clock was ticking down on us.
Then, literally in the final minutes of the trip, the reel screamed.
Michal jumped on it, worked the fish through the waves, and brought up a gorgeous Spanish mackerel. Absolutely pure hype on the boat! Talk about a last-second buzzer-beater to save the day.
