❤️STRONG is the new skinny❤️
Back in 2015 when I had graduated college, my goal weight was 105lbs as a 5’3” woman 🫠🫠🫠
I got down to 108lbs, but felt like dropping any lower was physically impossible. I’d photograph my body every single day to “track progress,” and as someone who had struggled with binging and purging, trying to “dial down” on my nutrition more only became more and more restrictive.
One obvious sign of being undernourished and too light is losing your menstrual cycle. I couldn’t tell you how many years I went without a cycle. For sure probably 2 years 🫠🫠🫠
Anyway. The point of this overshare is to remind you all that we all have our own struggles and journeys.
Focusing on being strong and capable wins 10000x over trying to make yourself smaller and be thin in my experience ❤️
