It hits different! Over the past few days, I’ve been filming new home workout videos simple setups, but with maximal effectiveness. One of my go-to moves: the Dumbbell Stiff-Leg Single-Leg Deadlift. Super underrated, especially when you’ve got no machines or gym gear around. You isolate the hamstrings unilaterally while challenging your core and stabilizers in a way that bilateral versions simply can’t. The key: a clean hip hinge, not a spinal bend. Your working leg stays as straight as possible, dumbbell close to the leg, and you aim to create a straight line from head to heel.

Struggling with balance? Use a light touch for orientation..not support. Or try a subtle kickback of the free leg. Just make sure the knee of that leg points straight down to avoid twisting the pelvis. Chest up. Core tight. Controlled movement > heavy weight. It’s one of those exercises that look easy but done right, it humbles you real quick.
