Our PDGA fall league has come to a close. It was a fun 6 weeks with rated rounds. It’d be fun to keep going but we have pushed it as far as we can with the available sunlight in the evenings after work.

It snowed a bit the day after the last league night. It’s melted now but it was reminder that winter is about to set in.

I got a few actions shots from our card and I had to share one photo of me at the laptop. Every league round starts with checking players in and assigning the cards for the night.

Thanks to everyone that signed up to play this year. We have a few more fun events planned before the end of the year: a tags battle round, a glow event on Halloween weekend, and a holiday season indoor putting and gift exchange night in December.

We have fully moved into the fall season here in the Yukon and it’s a great time to do some course maintenance. Last weekend, a few of us worked on the Mount Sima disc golf course. We cleared some brush, trimmed some branches, and removed some small trees and bushes around the baskets.

It won’t be long until winter sets in, hopefully we get a few more chances to get up there and clean things up a bit more.

And we saw a porcupine. It didn’t seemed to bothered with us around and it just stayed in the tree and hid behind a branch.

PDGA Fall league is still going well. This past week was the second last league night of the fall session and we played at the Solstice course in Whitehorse.

As you can see in the last 2 photos, we are pushing the boundaries of daylight for the last couple weeks of fall league. Wish us luck that it’s not fully dark for the last couple of holes next week!

Day 2 action from the Winterlong Fall Classic here in Whitehorse Yukon.

It was a sunny day but probably the windiest day I have ever played disc golf. My Halo Destroyer was used more today than it’s been used all summer and even close putts never felt comfortable.

This event is always an amazing way to end the season. Congrats to Al for the win in MPO and to Bri in FPO! There a video of Bri’s first drive of the day and videos of Al’s drive and putt on 18 to take the win.

Day 1 of the Fall Classic was lots of fun. We set up at Hole 1 with all of our discs, hats, bags, and other disc golf gear.

The weather was nice and there wasn’t much wind. I had a couple of bad shots on the water crossings, but other than that the round went well. No photos of me playing today. I’ll try to get some on Day 2.

Josh from DISCoveringNorth is the TD and he had the paddle board out to help find everyone’s discs that flew into the ponds.

The players meeting for the Fall Classic tournament was tonight. It was held at Winterlong Brewing Co. and Winterlong is again the title sponsor.

We couldn’t not a get a photo of one lucky player with their orange disc/ orange shirt combo!

The Fall Classic disc golf tournament is happening this weekend in Whitehorse Yukon. If you need new discs to get ready to play here’s a few places in town where you can get them:

Winterlong Brewing Co. has discs available right at the front counter with their Winterlong logo on them. Winterlong is also the title sponsor of the Fall Classic as they’ve been every year.

YUKON BUILT has their discs with the Yukon Built logo on display in a disc golf basket right near the front counter.

has Sixty Point Seven discs in stock and they are available right at the front counter.

We are pretty thankful that all of these local businesses are such great supporters of disc golf here in the Yukon. They all have a good mix of putters, midranges, and drivers in stock. All of the discs were supplied by us and of course they’re all from Innova Discs

We have also dyed up lots of the discs with cool designs and the dyed discs are available at each location.

If you’re looking for new discs please go support these awesome local businesses!!

I will be playing in the Fall Classic and we will also be set up on site selling discs so come say hi and see what we have in stock.

Fall League was rainy and chilly this past week. Not many photos but lots of fun.

Week 1 of the Whitehorse Yukon PDGA sanctioned Fall League is in the books. I’m the co-TD for the league. This might be the Yukon’s first PDGA league and the reason we started it is to be able to play more rated rounds.

It’s a 6 week league and it’s going to be a lot of fun. But if you follow along over the next few weeks you will see it getting darker earlier and colder as we go. It might even snow a bit before the final round during the first week of October. But hopefully we still have a few sunny days left, the sunny fall days up here are beautiful.

We sold out of our first batch of the new Innova Discs Sync putters so we reordered another stack right away. Head over to our YouTube channel to see what else was in the box.
