Sharing traditional foods is a meaningful way to care for Elders and help keep culture, connection and community at the heart of long-term care.
The Long-Term Care Traditional Foods Program welcomes donations of moose, caribou, bison and elk meat, caribou and moose bones and berries. These donations help provide nourishing, culturally meaningful meals for residents in long-term care.
Hunters, harvesters, families and community members who are able to share part of their harvest are encouraged to connect with the program.
To donate, please contact Heather Bekar, Director, First Nations Services and Relations, at 867-332-8335 or [email protected]
