In a world that rewards pushing, yin asks a different question.

What if the most powerful thing you could do right now is allow?

That’s not passivity. That’s a practice. And it’s one of the hardest things to teach — because you can’t teach it from your head. You have to know it in your body first.

That’s what this training is really about. Yes, there’s anatomy. Yes, there’s sequencing and philosophy and methodology. But underneath all of it is an invitation to meet yourself differently.

Every cohort I’ve taught has surprised me with what surfaces in that room. It’s one of my favourite weekends to hold.

Most yoga is designed for muscle.

Dynamic. Strong. Effort-based.

And that work is powerful. But there’s a whole other layer of the body — connective tissue, fascia, ligaments — that doesn’t respond to the same stimulus.

It needs time. Sustained, gentle load. Stillness.

That’s yin. And it is a completely different discipline.
