Join Ocean River Adventures, Dakini Tidal Wilds, and with Chef Colton Ashley-Armstrong for an unforgettable coastal fine dining experience.

Paddle to an island for a thoughtfully crafted chef‑crafted 6‑course dinner and a hands‑on seaweed tasting with a local expert.

The event includes:
- One-hour sea-kayak tour of oak bay shoreline led by expert guides
- Scenic outdoor dinner with a private chef on Mary Tod Island
- Six-course pescatarian tasting menu, featuring locally foraged seaweed species
- Interpretation and local knowledge provided by marine biologist and local forager Amanda Swinimer
- A unique fine-dining experience that stands apart from the rest

Help Ocean River Sports support families facing childhood cancer on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands!

On Saturday September 12th, a crew of Ocean River folks will paddle in the annual Paddle for Health, held in support of the Island Kids Cancer Association. This is a fun day of getting out on the water together in support of something bigger.

Funds raised will go directly to Island Kids Cancer Association to help families with financial assistance, mental health & wellness, practical resources and social connections.

How can you help?

🦀 Join us for the paddle! On September 12, we will paddle from Willows Beach to Cadboro Bay and back.

A pretty special piece of Ocean River history just found its way home.

We recently took this 1986 Pisces in on trade toward a brand new Current Designs Solstice GTS Kevlar.

It comes from a time when Ocean River Sports was not simply selling kayaks. We were helping design them, build them and grow the sport of sea kayaking in North America.

Almost 40 years later, this locally built Pisces has returned to Ocean River while its owner moves into a modern Current Designs Solstice.

Forty years apart. The same lineage. The same coast.

And somehow, this old Pisces found its way home.

Our Kayak and SUP rentals are open daily in both Downtown Victoria and Oak Bay. Each rental includes a briefing by staff on the weather, sea state conditions, safety, and cool spots to check out!

We have single kayaks, tandem kayaks, and stand up paddle-boards to rent.
