Closed due to winds today at Oak Bay, but sometimes the ocean has other plans. 🌬️

Two visitors walked in fresh from England, BCU certifications in hand, and the swagger to match. We checked their creds, opened the sheds, shared the local knowledge on currents and tides, and sent them on their way.

That’s exactly how it’s supposed to work.

Your certification isn’t just a piece of paper, it’s the key that lets us, as tour operators, put you on the water safely even when conditions demand more than a beginner trip. It tells us you know how to read a situation, handle yourself, and respect what the sea is doing that day.

- Retail shop staff
- Dock Staff
- Kayak Guides

What you bring:
- Experience in the outdoors (preference to those with previous guiding and paddling experience)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A keenness to become part of the community
- Knowledge of paddle sports gear (retail shop staff specific)
