As such, Surf Canada is solely responsible for selecting Surf, Stand-Up Paddle, and Prone Paddle athletes to compete at international events including the yearly ISA World Championships, PASA PanAm Surf Championships and every four years the PanAmerican Games and the Summer Olympics Games.

🇨🇦 MEET TEAM CANADA | TEAGAN SANDVIG

Meet Teagan Sandvig, a 13-year-old Canadian junior surfer representing Surf Canada and Team Canada in both the U16 Girls and U18 Girls divisions at the 2026 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in Surf City, El Salvador.

Teagan returns to the international stage with experience representing Canada, with 2026 marking her third appearance at the ISA World Junior Surfing Championships.

Earlier this year, Teagan delivered a standout performance at the 2026 Rip Curl Canadian National Surfing Championships in Tofino, British Columbia, claiming the Canadian national title in the U16 Girls division and finishing second in the U18 Girls division.

Now, Teagan will once again wear the maple leaf as she joins Canada’s top junior surfers competing against the best young surfing talent from around the world.

A look back at Team Canada at the 2025 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships as we get ready to do it all again. 🌊🇨🇦

The countdown to the 2026 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships is officially on, with this year’s Canadian Junior National Team preparing to represent the maple leaf in Surf City, El Salvador.

It all begins this Friday, with the Opening Ceremony kicking off at 4:00 PM local time before the world’s top junior surfers take to the international stage.

A new year. A new team. Another opportunity to represent Canada on the world stage.

Meet Kye Sale, a 15-year-old Canadian junior surfer from Ucluelet, British Columbia, representing Surf Canada and Team Canada in the U16 Boys division at the 2026 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in Surf City, El Salvador.

This year marks an exciting milestone for Kye as he prepares to compete in his first-ever ISA World Junior Surfing Championships and represent Canada on the international stage.

Earlier this year, Kye earned a spot on the podium at the 2026 Rip Curl Canadian National Surfing Championships in Tofino, British Columbia, finishing third in the U16 Boys division.
