It’s Negroni Month at Copperpenny Distilling Co. on the North Shore.

When the invite went out for a Negroni event, we couldn’t say no.

9 Negronis on the menu, so there’s something for every palate — if you like Negronis, that is.

Here are a few that caught our attention:

🍸 Negroni Fountain — continuous refills
🧊 Inception White Negroni — a classic Negroni encased in an ice cube
☕ Coffee-Infused Campari Negroni
🍊 The Classic — a good ol’ Negroni
🍧 Negroni Slush — a first for me, and it was spot on.

We took a tour of the distillery and got the inside scoop on how Copperpenny came to be.

The bar feels like it’s been transported from Europe, with their award-winning gin taking pride of place.

The Negroni special menu is on until September 30th.

Do yourself a favour and go pay them a visit.

Like every good record, Cassette Cafe and Dive Bar | Salt Spring Island has two sides.

Side one: slow mornings, coffee, breakfast sandwiches and ambient DJs easing you into island time.

Side two: lunch & dinner, BC w**e, house cocktails and, as the sun goes down, a proper dive bar.

We came for the day. We’re definitely coming back for the night.
