💧 DOING OUR PART 💧

Beginning June 8, Stage 3 water restrictions will be in effect across Metro Vancouver.

As part of FCRCC’s commitment to responsible water use, the dock hose will be removed and we will return to our water-saving boat washing process until restrictions are lifted.

🛶 Wash boats at the West Shed
🧽 Use the provided sponges and water buckets
💦 Use only the water needed to keep our boats clean and race-ready

It may take a few extra minutes, but small actions add up. As paddlers, we spend countless hours on the water and understand better than most the importance of protecting this valuable resource.

Thank you to all our members for helping us do our part while keeping our fleet in great condition throughout the season.

🇨🇦 ROAD TO NATIONAL TEAM TRIALS 🇨🇦

This June, 5 athletes from False Creek Sprint Canoe Club are heading to Montreal for National Team Trials, an important step toward representing Canada internationally.

To help support travel, competition, and coaching costs, we’ve launched a raffle fundraiser with over $3,000 in amazing donated prizes from local businesses and community supporters.

FCRCC has made the difficult decision to cancel our 2026 Knockout Regatta due to ongoing scheduling conflicts. We know this event is a favourite early-season race for many teams, and we truly appreciate your continued enthusiasm and support. Knockout Regatta will return in 2027 and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for a great day of racing then.

📣 Winter Paddling Rules Are in Effect Tomorrow!

From October 15 to April 15, FCRCC’s Cold Water Policy is in place to help keep all paddlers safe through the colder months.

As temperatures drop, it’s important to dress appropriately, stay close to shore, and always wear your PFD.
Cold water paddling carries extra risks — please review and follow all safety guidelines before heading out.
