"Once a Meraloma, Always a Meraloma." Meraloma Rugby Club (nicknamed "Lomas") is a Canadian Rugby Union Club based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

As one of the oldest rugby clubs in Canada, the Meralomas have a rich heritage of producing men's and women's rugby players who compete at the national and professional level. The Meraloma Club was established in 1923. The clubhouse is a Vancouver Heritage Building located at Connaught Park in Kitsilano. The Rugby Section of the Meraloma Club has had tremendous success, both on a team, & individua

l level, with numerous premiership titles for the club. Including the Meraloma Premier Men winning the Rounsefell Cup in 2009. The club competes in both men & women's divisions, fielding teams that compete in the Canadian Direct Insurance Premier League as well as 1st and 3rd Division Men, Premier and 2nd Division Women U-19, U-17, U-16, U-14, U-13 & MINI rugby for K to Grade 6. Players for the Meraloma's also compete at both the Provincial & National Levels.

Saturday, September 12 — and we start our season with a CLUB DAY back at Connaught Park.

Season openers for our men’s divisions teams, with Capilano travelling over the Lions Gate:

🏉 Men’s Division 3 — 11:15 AM
🏉 Rogues Division 3 — 11:15 AM
🏉 Men’s Division 1 — 12:45 PM
🏉 Men’s Premier — 2:30 PM

Our women’s teams will start their season on September 26.

Bring the family, bring a chair, bring your voice. Kickoff to last whistle, we want that sideline loud. See you at Connaught.

Our men’s teams start with a big home day on September 12 against Capilano! With our women’s sides starting September 26 against Castaway Wanderers.

Don’t miss out on this kicking skills session with premiere men’s coach Francis Denny!

Saturday 22nd August Coach Francis Denny will be running a kicking session.

Prince of Wales Secondary from 9-1030.

This is open to all and will cater to a full range of abilities.

Focus will be kicking from hand followed by goal kicking.

We’re recruiting lead coaches for our Men’s Division 1 squad, additional assistant coaching across our whole men’s section, and a dedicated forwards coach to join our Women’s Premier program.

We’re pleased to announce Jalan Farris and Francis Denny as our Meraloma Men’s Premier coaches for the upcoming 2026–27 season, with continued support by Strength & Conditioning coach and lifelong Loma, Mike Hall.

Jalan comes into the coaching team as a respected Meraloma player and captain over the past six seasons, and will take on the role of forwards coach with the Premier team this season. He’ll be joined by backs coach Francis Denny, who arrives with coaching experience at Burnaby Lake and England Police, following a playing career with National 1 and county representative experience in the UK.

We’re looking forward to the season ahead under an exciting new coaching team! Keep an eye out for pre-season details, to be shared soon.

Time for our boys to swing by brewery row and celebrate a fun season together for this group.

For those who within this group and the club who will be departing us after this season, we thank you all for everything you have given to our club during your time with us. It’s been a great pleasure with some wonderful memories and friendships made for life.
