Would YOU trust a BUNGEE to keep your lead rope solo anchor tight?! 😳🧗

Today’s setup was definitely a bungee festival 😂

I used several bungees to keep my cams and nut tensioned and prevent unwanted movement when the rope is loaded.

It’s a simple little trick, but I’m curious:

👉 Have you ever used bungee cords in a climbing anchor or rope-solo setup?

Would you use them… or absolutely NEVER? 😅

Quick comparison of rope drag in a few mechanical lead rope solo backup setups using a Beal Joker.

Interesting how much difference a backup can make.

I'd also love to hear what backup system you're using and what rope you're pairing it with.

How much force does it take to pull rope through different lead rop...

Just got the Roc Solo and the FreeBells!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported these purchase. You'll get early access to my product testing, reviews, and comparisons before anyone else.

A special thanks as well to all my Patreon supporters. Your support makes independent testing like this possible.

If you're enrolled in my Lead Rope Solo Course, you'll also get the new content as soon as it's ready.

It's exciting to see how quickly rope solo technology is evolving, and I can't wait to put these devices through thorough real-world testing.

Thanks to Roc Amadeus and Ben Kitchen for creating such beautiful and functional products!

Stay tuned!

Vergo on a Tensioned Rope?! 80kg Rescue Test

Test: can you install a Trango Vergo onto a rope that’s already tensioned?

I tested it on a tight rope loaded with 55 and 80 kg (using a 9.2 mm and 9.8 mm rope). It’s NOT easy because the channel isn’t straight, and you have to force it, wiggle it, and work the lever.

Result: it can work… but it’s a bit sketchy and takes effort.

In a true emergency or rescue situation, a strong climber might be able to make it happen.
For proper rescue use, a device like the Taz LOV2 or LOV3 is a better tool (easier and robust).

This is not standard use! Know the limits of your gear.
