Welcome to the Team John DeCoste is a highly experienced baseball player and athlete who brings extensive high-level playing experience, education, and pitching knowledge to his role as a trainer. His baseball journey began with the Team Nova Scotia Provincial Program at the 17U level in 2021. During high school, John helped lead his team to three consecutive regional championships from 2019โ2022 while earning Rookie of the Year, Silver Slugger, and MVP honours.
John continued his playing career at Garden City Community College, competing for two years in the NJCAA Division I program from 2022โ2024 while earning an Associate Degree in Exercise Science. He went on to compete at the NCAA Division I level with Grambling State University in 2025 and NCAA Division II level with Christian Brothers University in 2026. He has also gained additional collegiate experience with the Cortland Crush of the NYCBL and locally with the Dartmouth VAC Renegades.
Specializing in pitching, John has more than 3 years of experience working with athletes on throwing development, pitching mechanics, strength and conditioning, and building effective throwing programs. He brings a strong understanding of arm care, movement, velocity development, and the physical preparation required to pitch at a higher level.
As a trainer, John is passionate about helping athletes build confidence, develop their mechanics, and understand how to train effectively for long-term success. His goal is to give players the knowledge, tools, and work habits needed to become stronger, more confident, and more complete athletes on and off the mound.
