The Toronto Parkinson's United Demo Day was a roaring success! A lovely crowd of new walking soccer players having fun, getting exercise and making new friends! With all skills levels on display there was some impressive soccer played and lots of laughter shared.

Our next game day is Tuesday Sept. 8, 10am-12pm at Cherry Beach Sports Fields. We play on flat artificial turf, have experienced soccer coaches and there is no charge to play.

Come on down! We would love to meet you!

The FIFA pop-up game was a blast! Such fun gracing the same field as some of the world's best players, and what a playing surface! The world Cup graphics were still up to give visitors that bit of extra authenticity.

In other news, Alvaro won the World Cup in our 'chip the ball in the cart' competition and there was salsa dancing in the pub led by Tony, Ginna and Sandra. A fab evening!!!

Our inaugral Centennial Park program kicked off last Sunday with 24 keen walking soccer players gracing the grass fields. Three new Loons (Andrea, Marek and Claudio) were welcomed into the fold with great fanfare as always! The grass took a little getting use to compared to our usual turf surfaces but the field was flat and safe. It is much easier to pass weighted balls through to the wide players! Along with the beer, post game banter flowed at the local pub. 😀 Thank you to Shona, Sylvia and Greg for getting the fields set up!!
