We are so excited to welcome Mr Michael to the PDE teaching team as our new Ballet Teacher. 🩰✨

Originally from Ottawa and now based in Toronto, Michael brings an incredible depth of experience as a professional dancer, teacher, choreographer, and mentor.

After training with the inaugural class of CLI Conservatory under the mentorship of Teddy Forance, Michael has gone on to perform internationally with both MSC Cruises and Royal Caribbean International. His professional credits include LoveBlooms, Spectra’s Cabaret, Effectors II, Voices, and Aqua 80’s Too, where he also served as Dance Captain.

Alongside his performing career, Michael is an award-winning choreographer, receiving multiple accolades including Diamond Choreographer of the Year and Young Choreographer of the Year at the American Dance Awards.

What excites us most, however, is Michael’s passion for helping dancers grow. His commitment to inspiring confidence, artistry, and a love of dance makes him a perfect fit for our community.

This weekend we head into our final competition of the season at Elite Dance Competition đź’ś

The last competition weekend always carries a different feeling.

There’s excitement.
There’s nerves.
There’s pride.
And there’s this quiet awareness that these moments go by so quickly.

The costumes eventually get packed away.
The routines change.
The trophies get placed on shelves.

But the memories?
Those stay forever ✨

The backstage laughs, the team hugs, the cheering from the wings, the confidence built on stage and the friendships formed along the way are the things we truly hold onto.

We are so proud of every PDE dancer and cannot wait to watch them do what they love one more time this season đź’ś

REGISTRATION DAY IS COMING!

Season 7 Registration opens Friday May 29th from 4:00pm-9:00pm.

Registration can be completed:
• In Person at the studio
• Online from home

Everyone is invited to register for the upcoming season at Positive Dance Experience.

As a special thank you to our current PDE families for their continued loyalty and support, current families who register IN PERSON on May 29th will receive 5% OFF tuition for ONE DAY ONLY.

This is the perfect opportunity to:

Starting June 2, PDE will officially be launching ON CAMERA COACHING with the incredible Nicola Correia-Damude đź’ś

Nicola is an accomplished Canadian actress whose television and film credits include:

✨ Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent

Alongside her extensive screen and theatre experience, Nicola also has a strong dance background, making this such a beautiful addition to our PDE community.

🎥 Group on camera workshops

DANCE ATTACK 2026 🤍

This past weekend was about so much more than scores, placements, or trophies. It was about watching dancers who have spent the last 10 months showing up week after week finally step onto the stage and trust themselves. It was about friendships backstage, helping each other with costumes and eyelashes, cheering louder for teammates than for themselves, nervous hugs before routines, tears of happiness after performances, and moments that these dancers will remember forever.

We are incredibly proud to share that PDE was only 0.89 points away from winning Top Studio of the entire weekend. Had placements gone to Top 3 Studios overall, PDE would have placed SECOND overall across the entire competition. What an unbelievable accomplishment for our dancers, staff, and families.
