Sport Niagara is a not-for-profit organization established to carry on the sport legacy from the Niagara 2022 Canada Games. Sport Niagara will support the attraction and hosting of future sport events in Niagara, and promote sport through various programs focused on advancing high-performance and community sport. Over the course of the next several months, Sport Niagara will continue to develop its organization’s strategic governance and business plans.

🏅 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼, 𝗡𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.

It doesn't seem possible that it's already been four years since the 2022 Canada Games transformed our region.

For two incredible weeks, more than 5,000 of Canada's best young athletes, along with their coaches and support staff, called Niagara home. They competed, inspired, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

The Games showcased more than athletic excellence—they showcased the spirit of our community. Volunteers, fans, venues, and local organizations came together to prove that Niagara could host one of Canada's largest sporting events on the national stage.

The medals were awarded, but the legacy lives on.

Come watch some of Canada's top waterski athletes compete in an exciting weekend of speed, skill, and incredible performances on the water.

National and Provincial Championships to Generate Significant Economic Impact While Showcasing Niagara as a Premier Sport Tourism Destination. Sport Niagara, in partnership with Slo-Pitch National and Slo-Pitch Ontario, is proud to announce that Niagara Falls will host three major championship events in 2026, bringing some of the best slo-pitch athletes in Canada and internationally to the region.

The events are expected to attract more than 17,500 participants and spectators, generating significant economic impact for local hotels, restaurants, attractions, and businesses while further strengthening Niagara's reputation as one of Canada's premier sport tourism destinations.

🏐 Meet Sabrina D'Angelo

Born and raised in Welland, Ontario, Sabrina D'Angelo has become one of Canada's most accomplished soccer goalkeepers

⚽ Developed her game with the Welland Wizards Soccer Club and Niagara United.
🎓 Earned a scholarship to the University of South Carolina - All-American.
🥅 Selected in the 2015 National Women's Soccer League Draft
🏆 Won league championships with the Western New York Flash and North Carolina Courage.
🌍 Competed professionally in North America, Sweden, and England's Women's Super League.
🍁 Represented Canada from the U-17 and U-20 levels before making her senior national team debut in 2016.
🥉 Member of Canada's Rio 2016 Olympic bronze medal-winning team
🇨🇦 Represented Canada at the Paris 2024 Olympics, FIFA Women's World Cups, and Concacaf ❤️ Proud Niagara Ambassador

A great moment for Sport Niagara yesterday, as Thundering Waters Golf Club presented a $10,000 contribution from this summer’s Boys of Summer Series ⚾⛳

The three-event series brings Toronto Blue Jays alumni to the course for some memorable days of golf, while also helping support Sport Niagara’s work in the region.

Sport Niagara Executive Director Dan Kennedy was joined for the presentation by a golf course representative, and Blue Jays great, Lloyd Moseby.

A huge thank you to Thundering Waters team, the participating alumni, sponsors, and everyone who helped make the series such a success! 🙏
