๐ŸŒฟ Cub Creek restoration in action!

Since 1996, SHaRP has been helping protect and enhance Surreyโ€™s creeks through hands-on restoration work led by local youth.

At Cub Creek, our team removed invasive plants to make more room for native plants to grow, supporting a healthier streamside habitat for wildlife and salmon. ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ’š

Projects like this are part of Surreyโ€™s ongoing commitment to caring for local streams, strengthening natural areas, and building greener communities.

๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŸ Water Quality Wednesday at Enver Creek!

This week weโ€™re looking at temperature. Cooler creek water is best for salmon, with roughly 8โ€“15ยฐC being a healthy range. Once water gets above 18ยฐC, it can start stressing fish, and 20ยฐC+ becomes a much bigger concern.

At 15.8ยฐC, Enver Creek is slightly warm but still supporting aquatic life! ๐Ÿ’ง

See you guys next week!!!
