Bad Training: "Just smash the ball as hard as you can! Don't look, put your head down and kick it!" 🚫
Elite Training: "Scan for the goalie. Use your instep. Pick out the corners. You don't need to lace it from 5 yards out." ✅

This is what top European methodology looks like when applied properly in Canada. We don't just tell kids to "kick it." We teach them the technique of finishing.

🏆 WE’RE GOING TO SAN DIEGO.

Apex Football Academy is officially heading to Surf Cup San Diego 2026 with not one, but TWO travel teams. Our U12 and U13 rosters are locked, full, and ready to compete at one of the most prestigious youth soccer tournaments in North America.

To everyone who expressed interest and did not make it this time around, thank you. The response was incredible and we genuinely wish we could take everyone. Unfortunately spots were limited and we had to make tough calls. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

This will not be our last trip. We are already thinking about what comes next, and there will be more opportunities, more tournaments, and more experiences like this coming for Apex players and families. Stay connected because we are just getting started.

Parents see this drill and think: "Where's the action? How is this making my kid better?" 🤔

Here is the truth: Improvement isn't built in excitement. It's built in repetition. 🧱 Doing this simple wall-passing drill for 20-30 minutes a day builds muscle memory, perfects the weight of the pass, and dials in the first touch.

Hundreds of reps. Same spot. Same angle. Boring? Yes. Effective? Absolutely.

Put in the boring work on your own time if you want to shine on game day. ✨

To everyone who reached out and didn’t get a spot, thank you for the patience, and we mean it. We weren’t expecting the demand we got this year. To the families still messaging us, we saw every “any chance something opened up?” and we are sorry we couldn’t make it happen this time around.

Thank you to the families who trusted us with your player. We’re beyond grateful 🙏

Fall is next. It will be the only window until next year, and based on this season, it won’t stay open long.

Notice what he does here. He’s inside the box, but he doesn’t just smash the ball. He rolls it. He paints the corners. (Even when he hits the post, the technique is flawless).

This is exactly why we force our kids at Apex to get into the habit of passing the ball into the corners when they are in range.

If you build that habit when you're young, finishing becomes effortless when you're older. Stop smashing. Start placing. 🎯🥅
