๐ŸŒŸ BIG NEWS! ๐ŸŒŸ

Congratulations to Charlotte Lรฉonard from the U of R Varsity Judo Club! ๐Ÿ’š

Charlotte has been selected for the NextGen Academy of Judo Canada Womenโ€™s Development Project and has earned a spot at the NextGen Academy Summer Training Camp this August!

This exciting initiative, launched in partnership with Judo Canadaโ€™s Gender Equity Committee, supports the development of young female judoka from across the country. Only 12 athletes were selected to receive free residence accommodation and mentorship from a female coach throughout the week-long camp.

Charlotteโ€™s dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence on and off the mat continue to open incredible opportunities. We are proud to see her representing Judo Sask and taking another step forward in her judo journey.

Way to go, Chuckie! We canโ€™t wait to see what you accomplish next! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿฅ‹

Together, weโ€™re building stronger men, stronger teammates, and stronger communities. ๐Ÿ’š

Sport is where we find our young men.

It is where friendships are built, confidence is developed, and a sense of belonging is created. It is also where we have an opportunity to talk about mental health.

Too many young men struggle in silence. Through conversations, mentorship, and shared experiences, weโ€™re helping young men develop the skills to care for their own mental health and support the well-being of their teammates.

By using sport as a gateway, weโ€™re creating spaces where young men can build connections, have meaningful conversations, and learn that reaching out for help is a sign of strength.

Thank you to Brian Campbell, Connor Ingram, Prairie Storm Paintball, Moose Jaw Dominoโ€™s Pizza, and Sask Sport for helping make our Male Mental Health Initiative a success.
