A message from Rebecca:
After a lot of deliberation, I have made the extremely tough decision to step away from competitive curling. This has been the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, but one I am doing for many reasons. The Olympics was the most special experience of my life and I will think about the happy memories from there every single day. I feel so proud of the performance we put in, and so am glad to feel like I am leaving on a positive note.
The last 6 years of full-time curling have been amazing. I have memories that will last a lifetime, and some of the best friends I could ask for from it all. Some favourites being our 3 European medals over the last 4 years, a World Championships in Korea and playing in the Grand Slams 🫶🏼 there are so many things and so many people that I am going to miss so much.
There are so many people to thank for making all of these moments so special. Everyone at of course, for all the hard work behind the scenes over the years, and for being so supportive of my decision. All my teammates over the years, Fay, Ross and Greg for the countless memories on tour. And to all my friends and family, and everyone else who has supported me throughout this amazing journey. You are all the best ❤️
And now? I’m in the process of packing up and leaving Scotland. The place I’ve called home for almost 30 years. It’s emotional and hard, but also so so exciting, and I cannot wait to experience a whole new version of life for now.
