Competition weekends bring big emotions — for dancers and parents alike. 🩵
There can be pride, excitement, disappointment, frustration, nerves, and everything in between.
Sometimes you leave feeling on top of the world, and sometimes you leave wishing things had gone differently. All of those feelings are normal.
Whether this weekend brought personal bests, tough lessons, exciting wins, or unexpected disappointment, remember that growth happens in every experience — and it doesn’t always have to be loud. Sometimes growth starts with simply saying, “That was hard.”
To our dancers: Your value is never determined by a score sheet, a placement, or one moment on stage. You are allowed to feel proud and disappointed at the same time. You are allowed to need a minute. You are allowed to talk about it when you’re ready.
To our dance parents: Thank you for being the drivers, cheerleaders, costume fixers, late-night hair stylists, and steady supporters through every high and low. Sometimes your dancer may not need a critique right away. Sometimes the most powerful thing they can hear is, “I’m proud of you. We can talk about it when you’re ready.”
Now it’s time to rest, recover, reflect, and reset. Feel the feelings. Have the conversation. Take the lesson. Then move forward. ✨
The stage is always there for you. See you in class. 🩵
