Ricky got another day of range riding yesterday with a couple of firsts... First mud bog up to his belly and first time moving cattle through the forest. He handled the mud bogs no problem but the sound of that many cattle bushwhacking rattled him a bit. I was still very pleased with his work throughout the day. I am very grateful to be able to have these experiences in amazing ranch country!

It was Diamond's first time back to cow work in a couple of years. We had the perfect soft cow for a chance to go slow thanks to the fantastic cattle provided by Holmes Livestock!
She loved it and was sooo keen! I thinks she's ready to go again a little faster!! Thank you Emily Crichton for all your help and putting together this little ditty 💞
And thank you Maggie CF for putting on such a great practice day!!

The horses were good today. Ricky helped move a couple hundred head of fresh heifers and logged 10 miles, Digger went on his first trail ride in the coulee, Diamond was fresh and fun and Diesel was a safe, solid mount for Sarah Burns . Thanks Sarah for the pics!
