It shouldnât shock you to know that men and women have different anatomical structures. But did you know we need to adjust our workouts to work more effectively for how our bodies function?
Most workouts you search online show you how a man would perform them, but womenâs bodies are built differently, so we need to be aware of how we should move.
The two biggest structures that differ between males and females are:
1. The ribcage
2. The hips
The different size/shape of a females ribcage mostly affects how women perform shoulder presses and lateral raises.
The shape of a females hips affects how women perform squats and bicep curls (weird, right?!).
Women also tend to be less strong in their upper body when compared to men, but have more mobility. These two factors affect a females positioning for bench press.
When we understand how to use our anatomy to benefit us, instead of just following along with the male dominated industry, we see better results!
Stay tuned over the next week to see how to make your exercises work for YOU!
