Well we just got the call we've been waiting for! Lyla's motor passed tech! She has officially finished 2nd and earned her first ACC Leaf in her JrLate!
We unloaded with some new rubber on the old girl and fought stagger issues all day. The car still had decent speed though.
Lyla started her first heat p3 and after falling back to 4th or 5th was able to work her way up to finish 3rd
Heat #2 she started 7th and worked her way up to 2nd by the time the checker flew
The feature had a field of 17 Jr Late Models and Lyla lined up the #20 in P3, and after a long hard battle with the #99 she was able to shift her focus on the #86, but Kaiden was on rails and had a huge lead on the whole field! Congrats to Jay Beatty and Kaiden on the big Leaf and an awesome 5 years of running with you guys! And a huge Congratulations to Lyla for facing all the adverity head on and proving herself on the track! At this point we arent 100% sure what 2027 has in store for her, but there are some options she is exploring.
