Raceday Recap Night #6

On Thursday Lyla had the pleasure of meeting Kooper Ireland and his father Earl. She must have impressed them because she is now proud to announce that Earl Ireland Auto Sales on board for the rest of the 2026 race season!
The car was fast all day. Just before her first practice we found the teeth on the clutch were badly worn and the frame had a nasty crack. We were unable to obtain a clutch so we decided to see if it would hold. John Lavalle was fast to bring the welder over and he made quick work of the frame issue. We skipped the 2nd practice to save the clutch. Lyla started 3rd in her heat and finished 2nd. She lined up 3rd for the feature but unfortunately the #86 had some issues and had to pull off before the green. Everyone jumped into help, but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. Lyla started the feature on the outside of the front row. She fell back but settled into the 3rd spot. With about 10 to go, a couple cars made contact right in front of her and she made HARD impact with the rear of the 01. With the help of Jay Beatty, John Lavalle and Dad they were able to get her back out before the green flew. She restarted 14th and was able to drive the bent and broken #20 to a 6th place finish! Thank you everyone for getting her back out! The car is hurt pretty bad, but we will assess the damage tonight and try to make a plan and see where we are at for championship night. Her sponsors and partners are the ones who keep her out on the track, doing what she loves. None of this would be possible without the help of

Race #5 of 2026
We made some changes for practice and it seemed to work. Lyla was able to lay down her best lap ever, an 18.75!
In her heat race, she wheeled the #20 to a second place and she was flying! She beat her practice time by over a quarter of a second logging an 18.48!
She lined up for the feature on the outside of the second row. After a good hard 15 laps, Lyla was able to grab a podium finish, ending up 3rd! Tech took the top 4 motors to go get checked out, so we will have to wait until we get that back before we can get out testing and try to find another tenth. Thank you to everyone who makes this happen.

Race season update
Our season start was delayed due to rain. Some unforseen circumstances saw us cleaning out the spray gun at 6:00 Friday, the night before. Saturday morning the paint was hard enough to build the back window and throw the motor in it. She finished 5th in her feature with a super loose car on an island all alone.
Race #2 we made some more adjustments and they seemed to work. She still finished 5th but was up there with the top 4
Race #3 the car was way better! We were still missing something in turn 1 and 2, but she was able to finish 2nd!
Onto this past Thursdays practice...i had a friend bringing his son out to try the oval. I had lyla go shake it down and make sure it wasn't too loose. Here's where the first scratches come, going into turn 3 on her 3rd lap, her steering wheel came off and she piled it into the turn 3 wall. Lots of broken and bent parts, but thanks to some amazing people and support we are hard at it getting it, hopefully, better than before!
This season wouldn't be possible without the help of so many people.
J.p. Josiasse, Tyler Liscum, Jeff Drimmie, Andrew Millar, Brad Lavalle, John Lavalle, Christen Lavalle, Chase Lohnes, Doug Benedict, Zac, Shawn Solomon for all the help
A huge thank you also to all of our partners that make this possible

Race #3 today for Lyla. I apologize, life has been beyond hectic, but here's a quick recap. A late start on the car saw J.p. painting it at 6:00pm Friday before the first night. Andrew Miller for all his racial help. Christen Lavalle, Brad Lavalle, John Lavalle, Zac, Shawn Solomon for helping get the motor and rear window in the car Saturday morning. Thank you for all the help. We also can not thank Tyler Liscum enough for not only providing the decals, but also, he's made the drive all the way to Peterborough Speedway to all her races so far this year. Thank you for all the advise, coaching and friendship. It really means a lot. Race 1 saw Lyla finishing 5th with a very loose racecar amd out on an island of her own. Night #2 we made some adjustments amd the car was a lot more drivable. She still ended up 5th but she was right with the top 4. We changed a couple more things and time will tell what tonight will hold. Non of this would be possible without everyone who supports us:
