Time for another Term Tip Tuesday!
✨Deficit✨
A deficit in Physiotherapy refers to a functional impairment or limitation in a person's physical abilities, such as strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, or endurance, that affects their ability to perform daily activities or participate in desired activities. This deficit may be caused by injury, illness, or a chronic condition.
Physiotherapy interventions aim to address and improve the deficit through targeted exercises, manual therapy, education, and other modalities.
Making sure to do your at home excerises and come in for regularly scheduled treatments is the best way to work through the deficit.
