Hi everyone! 👋

We wanted to follow up on our fresh new arena ground and give you a quick update. Right now, it is still quite deep as it settles in.

We are currently on a twice-daily watering schedule to help the footing compact and firm up properly. This process takes a bit of time, but it’s an important step to ensure safe, consistent ground for everyone.

We appreciate your patience while we get it dialed in and will keep you posted as it improves! 💛

🏇 Arena Upgrade Complete!
It’s official - our arena upgrade is done! A huge thank you to Manuel and Osoyoos Aggregates for all of your hard work. The community spoke, and you delivered. We are so excited to now have fresh, safe, high-quality footing for all disciplines. This has been a major goal over the past year, and we’re proud to say we’ve achieved it - celebrated with a little bottle of bubbly! 🥂 Anne will be watering and grooming it tomorrow, and we can’t wait to ride!

💛 Community Appreciation
We also want to acknowledge our incredible partners, volunteers, and local businesses who have supported us with time, materials, and effort over the past year, including:

Sun Hills Riding Centre (Sherri & Dave!), TL Timber Ltd, Osoyoos Aggregates, Town of Osoyoos, Rotary Club, HRBC, and many more. We truly couldn’t do this without you.

🤝 Sponsorship Opportunities
There are many upcoming sponsorship opportunities available for individuals and local businesses who would like to support Desert Park. If you’re interested in partnering with us or learning more, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

We’re excited to continue building on last year’s momentum and look forward to bringing more horses, riders, and events back to Desert Park. Our goal is to keep growing a vibrant, active facility and welcome both familiar faces and new participants for another great season.

11/20/2025

Due to the recent confirmed cases of EHV-1 and EHV-4 across the U.S., as well as a confirmed case in Alberta, we are taking proactive precautions to protect the horses on site. Effective immediately, we will not be accepting incoming boarders, overnight stays, or non-boarder drop-in riders for a minimum of 14 days. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we monitor this situation. With our proximity to the Canada–U.S. border and our role as an overnight facility for travellers, these preventative measures are especially important at this time.
