Barrel Series Update

After much thought and consideration, Marti and I have made the difficult decision not to continue the Run Around Barrel Series this summer.

We’ve had an amazing time organizing and hosting these events, and we’ll always treasure the incredible memories and connections we’ve made. However, the ongoing drama, complaints, and disrespect have made it clear that the fun and joy we once had in creating these events have been overshadowed.

We worked hard to build something special, but it’s become increasingly difficult to enjoy the process while people continually try to change or criticize what we’ve created. Volunteering our time and energy under these circumstances is no longer sustainable.

To everyone who supported us with positivity, kindness, and encouragement—thank you. You’re the reason we kept going, and we deeply appreciate you. We hope to see you in the future, whether at another event or out enjoying what we all love most—horses and barrels.

Here is the link for the last race of the season. This is a jackpot with $300 added in the open. It will not count towards the series. The series prizes will be presented at the end of the day.

Bring you friends and family to cheer you on, and to support Desert Park with the Beer Gardens and concession. Racing will start at 11:00 on Saturday - October 12.
