La deuxième édition de la Régate commémorative Muriel How aura lieu les 26 et 27 septembre au Club de voile de la rivière Gatineau! Tous les profits de la régate seront versés au fonds Allen Richens de soutien de la voile junior du club.

Les bateaux du club seront disponibles pour les membres et les participants de l’école de voile.

Venez profiter de notre magnifique plan d’eau et de l’ambiance unique d’une régate au CVRG. Au programme : de belles courses et beaucoup de plaisir, autant sur l’eau qu’à terre!

The second edition of the Muriel How Memorial Regatta will take place on September 26–27 at the Gatineau River Yacht Club! All profits will be donated to the Allen Richens Fund which supports junior sailing at the club.

Club boats will be available to club members and sailing school participants.

Come enjoy our beautiful sailing grounds and the unique atmosphere of a regatta at GRYC. Great racing and plenty of fun await sailors and spectators alike!

The FANFARE 2026 entry list is growing…is your name on it yet? 👀

Join us at Nepean Sailing Club September 12 & 13 for two action-packed days of fall dinghy racing on the Ottawa River! 🍂🏁🌊

We’re welcoming dinghies of all sizes, from Lasers and Optimists to 420s, Albacores, catamarans & more. Plus, the 505 fleet will be competing for the Canadian Championship title at FANFARE 2026! ⛵️🇨🇦🏆

And the fun doesn’t stop when Day 1 racing wraps up! 🎊 Saturday evening, NSC’s Annual Pig & Corn Roast will be happening right alongside FANFARE festivities. 🔥🐷🌽

Starting at 6:00 PM, enjoy slow-roasted whole hog, fresh corn on the cob and all the fixings for $20 + tax, followed by live Country & Celtic music from Hanks Hangover from 7–10 PM!🤠🎶 Tickets are available at the bar, in the office, or at the door.🎟️

Race weekend is quickly approaching, so now’s the time to check out the competition and add your boat to the entry list. Register by September 5 to take advantage of early-bird pricing! 🙌

🚤 La flotte du CVRG continue de se renouveler!

Le CVRG poursuit le remplacement de ses bateaux de sécurité. Aujourd’hui, un nouveau membre s’est joint à la flotte : Papa Brig, un Brig Falcon 500 acheté usagé dans la baie Georgienne. Il prendra la relève de l’un de nos bateaux de pêche et nous permettra de continuer à assurer la sécurité de nos jeunes et de nos moniteurs sur l’eau.

Un immense merci à Guillaume et Julie, qui ont fait l’aller-retour hier pour nous livrer le bateau! 🙌

🚤 The CVRG fleet continues to grow and renew!

The CVRG is continuing its safety-boat replacement program. Today, a new member joined the fleet: Papa Brig, a used Brig Falcon 500 purchased in Georgian Bay. It will replace one of our fishing boats and help us continue providing a safe environment for our sailors and instructors on the water.

A huge thank you to Guillaume and Julie, who made the round trip yesterday to bring the boat home! 🙌

🇫🇷 J4 du CORK Youthfest — c’est terminé! ⛵️

La 4e et dernière journée aura été marquée par des vents très légers, rendant les conditions particulièrement difficiles, tant techniquement que tactiquement.

Gemma n’aura peut-être pas réussi à conserver sa 4e place au classement général, terminant finalement 6e, mais c’est tout de même un excellent résultat! Et surtout, elle conserve la 1re place au classement féminin des ILCA 4! 🥇

Quelle prouesse! Bravo Gemma! 👏🔥

🇬🇧 Day 4 of CORK Youthfest — and that’s a wrap! ⛵️

The fourth and final day brought very light winds, making for challenging conditions both technically and tactically.

Gemma may not have been able to hold on to 4th overall, finishing 6th, but that’s still an excellent result! And most importantly, she holds on to 1st place in the ILCA 4 women’s standings! 🥇

What an achievement! Way to go, Gemma! 👏🔥
