Remembering Divine Adili
Divine Adili was a 6-foot-10 Nigerian student-athlete who played center for the Ateneo Blue Eagles. Before joining Ateneo, he established himself as one of the top junior players in the country, winning back-to-back MVP awards in the NAASCU Juniors Division while representing New Era University.
On June 8, 2026, Adili tragically passed away at the age of 21 during a team-building activity in Dipaculao. His passing deeply affected the Ateneo community, teammates, coaches, friends, and supporters of Philippine basketball.
Known for his size, potential, and work ethic, Adili was regarded as a promising young big man with a bright future ahead of him. His journey from a standout junior player to a member of the Ateneo program inspired many aspiring student-athletes.
