Yes, we make our members do hard things.

But hard is always relative.

Every workout can be scaled to your ability, your experience, and what your body needs that day. The goal is not to crush you. The goal is to challenge you enough to help you build strength, confidence, and capacity over time.

You can complain about the exercises.
You can complain about the music (but please understand that the coach has already committed to the playlist emotionally.)

But we’re still going to help you do the hard thing safely.

Want to try a class without committing long-term? Our two-week unlimited trial is the best place to start.

✨Monday Member Spotlight✨

A huge congratulations to Cindie on hitting 💯 check-ins at IPSL!

If you’ve ever been to a 5:30 AM class, chances are you’ve seen Cindie there. Whether it’s FOCUS or SWEAT, she’s consistently showing up 4-5 mornings a week and putting in the work before most people have even had their first coffee.

One of the things we love most about Cindie is that she never takes herself too seriously. She always brings a laugh (or several) to class and helps make those early mornings a little more fun for everyone around her.

It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch her confidence grow, especially when it comes to the strength and weightlifting components of class. The weights that once felt intimidating are now just her warm up weights as she finds another challenge she’s ready to tackle.

100 check-ins is more than just a number, it’s 100 days of choosing yourself, showing up, and putting in the effort.

Cindie, we hope you’re proud of everything you’ve accomplished so far. We certainly are. ❤️

IPSL Build wrapped up at the end of May, and I’m finally getting a chance to share a little bit about it.

This first crew deserves a proper shoutout.

Build was an 8-week muscle phase built around focused strength work, consistency, progressive training, and showing up for the same movements long enough to actually see progress happen.

And that part was one of the biggest wins.

One member shared:

“I really really loved this program. I loved working consistently on the same movements and seeing the strength gains. I would definitely love to do more of this style of lifting.”

Build was not a quick fix or a flashy challenge. It was simple, focused work done consistently over time. Two Build sessions per week minimum, lots of stickers, lots of checkmarks, and a whole lot of proof that consistency really does build strength.

If there is enough interest, I’m considering running a summer session of IPSL Build.

This would be a great fit if you want:
• more focused strength training
• structure outside of regular classes
• a plan to follow for 8 weeks
• support and accountability
• to feel more confident lifting
• to build strength and muscle without overcomplicating it

If this is something you’d be interested in, comment BUILD or send me a message and I’ll start a waitlist.

☕️🎗️ IPSL Coffee & Community Fundraiser 🎗️☕️

At Iron Prairie Strength Lab, community has always been about more than just workouts.

For the month of June, one of our coaches, Sara, and her pup Maverick have committed to walking 100 km to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. To support their fundraising efforts, we’re inviting our members, friends, family, and community to join us for a morning of coffee, connection, and giving back. We will grab a quick drink and head out on a walk, no pressure on how long, we just appreciate your time.

POV: it’s been a long day and you walk into the gym expecting a workout.

What you get is so much more.

You’re laughing before class starts.
Someone’s telling a story that somehow takes 10 minutes longer than it should. (Probably Sydni)
A coach is making fun of your life choices during burpees.(probably Sara)
Someone hits a PR and the whole room celebrates like they just won the lottery.(everyone💛)

In between the sweat and hard work like you see in this video, there are inside jokes, high fives, friendships, and a whole lot of fun.

At IPSL, we’re serious about helping you reach your goals.

We’re just not serious all the time. 😊

🏆 COMMITTED CLUB 🏆

At IPSL, the Committed Club means showing up 15+ times in a month. It doesn’t sound flashy, but honestly, consistency rarely is.

Between seeding, spring sports, work, school, family commitments, vacations, and everything else life throws our way, these 12 members made the decision to keep showing up and putting themselves on their own priority list.

That’s what real progress looks like. Not perfection. Not motivation. Just showing up, over and over again. These committed members know when to put their heads down and get the work done and it shows month over month.

A special shoutout goes to Jaime, who somehow managed to hit Committed Club while being away on not one, but TWO extended trips this month. There were days she was squeezing in three classes just to stay on track. Great work Jaime!

Congratulations to all of our May Committed Club members. Your consistency doesn’t go unnoticed, and the results you’re building are earned one workout at a time. 👏💪

How we train at IPSL

Our workouts are not random.

At Iron Prairie Strength Lab, we use functional fitness to help you build strength, improve conditioning, move better, and feel more capable in real life.

Most classes include:

✔️ A warm-up
✔️ Specific prep for the workout
✔️ Strength, weightlifting, gymnastics, or skill work
✔️ A metcon/conditioning piece
✔️ Accessory work when it fits the day

Everything is coached. Everything can be modified. And you do not need to be “fit enough” before you start.

We have different class styles on the schedule, but the goal is always the same:

Strong bodies. Better movement. Real-life fitness. Supportive coaching.

New to IPSL? Start with a 2-week trial and we’ll help you find the best place to begin.

Contrary to what many believe, the hardest workout isn’t your first squat, burpee, or row.

It’s walking through the door on Day 1.

Trust us, we all get it and we have all had to do it. Starting something new can feel intimidating. You wonder if you’ll fit in, if you’re “in shape enough,” or if everyone else knows what they’re doing.

But here’s the thing, whether we like it or not, the days are going to pass anyway.

A month from now, you can be exactly where you are today, or you can be stronger, more confident, and proud that you started.

At Iron Prairie Strength Lab, we offer a variety of classes and programs designed to meet you where you’re at. Whether you’re brand new to fitness, returning after time away, or looking to take your training to the next level.

You don’t need to be fit to start.

You just need to start.

We’ll help with the rest. 💙
