🏯 DÉCORUM DU DŌJŌ – Tenshin Shōden Katori Shintō Ryū (Ōtake Sensei)

Le dōjō n’est pas un lieu ordinaire — c’est un espace sacré où l’on préserve et transmet la tradition martiale. On y entre avec sincérité, humilité et pleine conscience de ce que cela représente.

Conduite :
• S’incliner respectueusement en entrant et en sortant du dōjō.
• Parler seulement si nécessaire. Le silence favorise l’apprentissage.
• Écouter attentivement le sensei et les élèves plus avancés.
• Suivre les instructions à la lettre.
• Ne jamais corriger un partenaire sans y être autorisé.

Apparence :
• Avoir un keikogi propre et bien ajusté.
• Les armes doivent être en bon état et traitées avec respect.

Attitude :
• Laisser l’égo et l’orgueil à l’extérieur.
• Ne pas chercher à se faire remarquer : la pratique n’est pas une performance.
• Respecter le dōjō, le sensei, et chaque partenaire.
• Rester concentré·e — éviter les bavardages ou les distractions.

Esprit :
• L’apprentissage véritable repose sur la sincérité (makoto).
• Sans cœur pur, la technique reste vide.
• Le sabre doit d’abord trancher notre propre ignorance.

« Dans le dōjō, on ne cherche pas à briller. On cherche à se purifier. » — Ōtake Sense

🏯 The dōjō is not an ordinary place — it is a sacred space where the martial tradition is preserved and transmitted. When entering the dōjō, do so with sincerity, humility, and full awareness of its meaning.

Conduct:
• Bow respectfully when entering and leaving the dōjō.
• Speak only when necessary. Let silence guide your learning.
• Listen attentively to the teacher and senior practitioners.
• Follow instructions precisely.
• Never correct others unless you are explicitly authorized to do so.

Appearance:
• Keep your keikogi clean and tidy.
• Weapons must be well-maintained and respected.

Attitude:
• Leave pride and ego outside.
• Do not try to stand out — training is not a performance.
• Respect the dōjō, your teacher, and all your partners.
• Stay focused — avoid distractions or idle talk.

Spirit:
• True learning requires sincerity (makoto).
• Without a pure heart, technique remains empty.
• The sword must first cut through your own ignorance.
