ASHLEY PETERSEN — 2026 | 5’4” PG/SG | HOOPSTARS

Ashley Petersen proved to be one of the most complete guards at the tournament, impacting the game in several ways whenever she stepped onto the floor.

A confident perimeter shooter, Petersen consistently stretched the defence with her ability to knock down the three-ball. She also had a knack for delivering timely baskets during important stretches of games.

Her court vision and basketball IQ stood out throughout the weekend. Petersen patiently read the defence, made sound decisions and consistently found open teammates in scoring positions.

Congratulations Sarah Fortier (Sarah Fortier ) for being recognized as a top performer in last weekend’s CNIT Tournament.

SARAH FORTIER —2027 | 5’10” G/F | HOOPSTARS

Sarah Fortier was an offensive nightmare for opposing defences throughout the tournament, reaching double figures in every game and consistently finding ways to put points on the board.

With her combination of size, length and athleticism, Fortier ran the floor exceptionally well, filled the lanes in transition and created easy scoring opportunities before opposing defences could get organized.

She also proved to be a reliable perimeter threat, confidently knocking down three-pointers and forcing defenders to respect her range. Her ability to score from all three levels made her one of the most difficult individual matchups at the event.

Whether she was attacking the rim, pulling up in the mid-range or stretching the floor from beyond the arc, Fortier gave Hoopstars a dependable offensive weapon throughout the weekend.

Notable Performances:

vs. LYNX: 15 points
vs. North Shore United: 13 points
vs. Next Up Hoops: 18 points, four rebounds and three steals
vs. One Possession Basketball Academy: 23 points, two rebounds and onesteal
