Summer 2026 was one for the memory bank!!

I am so incredibly lucky to be able to stay home with my girls all summer 🥹🩷 We jam packed a whole lot of fun into 2 months! It’s only day 3 of school and I already miss them 😭 BUT, it means I can focus more time on sleep coaching and being here for YOU! 🥰🙌🏻

My kids are 1.5 years apart and there was one summer that I was completely nap trapped from around 10:30-4:00! 😣🤪 one kid was on two naps and the other kid took one long nap right in the middle! It made it very difficult to plan much!

We did spend a lot of time at home (it was also during Covid! 😆), but if you’re travelling, running errands or have somewhere to be, the car seat is a great alternative! 🚙 Anytime you are able to, plan your outing so they can nap in the car. It’s best if you can allow them to get a full sleep cycle in (30 minute) and do your best to avoid the dreaded quick 5 min catnaps! 🐱 *Cue yelling at them to stay awake, with all the windows down and my arm flailing around the backseat* 😂

If they do snooze for a short time but you’re unsure how long they slept, then I wouldn’t follow their sleep cues for the next nap time!

Share this sleep tip! 💙

Nobody wants to wake a sleeping baby! I know it feels counterintuitive, but there are some instances that I recommend gently waking your child from their slumber.

Until your baby has dropped down to one nap, you will want to WAKE them up if they have been napping for 2 hours.

2+ naps a day= 2hr max/nap

WHY!?

Have you ever taken a long nap in and woken up in a haze? You feel kinda groggy and out of it. This can happen for our babes too! But the main reason is so that you don’t mess up the rest of your days schedule.

If your child is taking a 3 hour nap in the morning, you are going to struggle with scheduling the remainder of your day. It will be more difficult to fit in all your naps and make it to bedtime, without going over your maximum nap total.

Officially engaged 🩷💍
Matt and I have built a life together for almost 10 years now. We have done everything backwards, and it’s been perfect for us! TBH, we didn’t plan on ever getting married, but now it’s something the girls bring up often and it feels right 🥰
He got down on one knee today and asked me to be his wife (after we picked a date and booked a venue for our elopement lol 😂) it was a beautiful surprise and I cannot wait to marry this man, the love of my life and father of my children!

They lasted about 500m 😂 but I’m so proud of them! 🥰 We ended up at the playground and I ran laps while they played 😆

I always strive to be a good example for them and this shows it is paying off! Kids are always watching and learning from us, so make sure you are taking care of yourself and giving yourself love too 🩷 Hopefully this was the first of many runs we will do together 🤞🏻🥰
