As summer approaches, I find myself drawn to water to restore my balance and vitality. I am drawn to a mindful shower, a lake, ocean or the simple act of washing my hands; water is a great tool for grounding our energy. It serves as a powerful reminder to embrace the flow of life.

Reconnect with the wisdom of your body, it is always speaking to you.

One of the most transformational shifts I support clients with is learning to notice the signals their bodies send every day. After years of ignoring or overriding my own physical cues, I have also been on this journey.

Through practices like body scans, tracking energy rhythms, and deeply respecting hunger and rest, I have uncovered a guidance system that’s far more intuitive than I once believed.

Our bodies speak to us through sensations, offering clues about what we need for balance and well-being.

Learning to understand this language has not only deepened my own self-trust but has become a foundational part of the work I do with others.

Let’s talk about the word “moderation” because I know it means something different to everyone.
I see lots of content online that uses moderation as an excuse to eat thousands of calories' worth of junk food in one sitting.

That’s not moderation to me it's just a different extreme!

Here’s what balance actually looks like in MY life:
I don’t label foods as “good” or “bad,” but I most definitely look at ingredients, whether they nourish me, and whether I enjoy them. About 80–85% of my meals are built around whole foods, lean protein, veggies, healthy fats, and complex carbs.

The other 15–20%? I enjoy without guilt. A piece of dark chocolate in the afternoon. A patio brunch with my favourite people.Or that yummy ice cream cone on a hot summer day!

On a day-to-day basis, that looks like starting every morning with a protein-rich breakfast, getting vegetables into lunch and dinner, and not stressing over a treat when it’s genuinely worth it.

No deprivation. Not all-or-nothing. Just a sustainable approach I can live with for life.
