Portage Pool Portage Pool offers a wide range of public and lane swim opportunities as well as swimming lessons for all ages and abilities.

Check us out at www.boldcenter.ca for more details! Portage Pool is attached to Portage College and is run by Lac La Biche County. The pool was constructed in 1992 and has a 5 lane 25m pool, 25 person hot tub, and a wading pool for small children. Other features include: a wet steam room, male and female changerooms containing accessible washrooms and shower stalls, a family change room for famili

es with children aged 6+ who wish to change together, and baby change tables in changerooms and washrooms. Pay lockers are available in the main changerooms for $1 or padlocks are available for day use.

Farewell to a community treasure! We are closing a chapter and cherishing the memories!

Portage Pool is where friendships began, where kids learned to float for the first time, and where generations gathered. The facility has hosted many events. While it is hard to say goodbye, we are grateful for every memory made here.

After decades of splashes, laughter, and memories, Portage Pool closes September 7, 2026. The facility has contributed immensely to our County and region.
