What a weekend!

Our Clippers did us SO proud in Sexsmith capturing silver but made us even prouder with how they handled themselves all weekend!

The gold medal game was definitely one for the books with all goals being special teams with the exception of the empty netter to seal the deal for our opponents from Whitecourt.

Our Heart and Hustle Award recipient was Liam Richard. Liam was going hard all weekend but particularly hard in this game. He didn't shy away from contact, engaged in battles all over the ice and ensured the opposition’s blue line was kept on their toes. Great game Liam!

Our MVP was a player that was hard for every team to handle and Whitecourt was no different - they could not keep him at bay! He scored, threw some big, clean hits and made really hard plays all game long. Congrats Kael Cardinal!

As a coaching staff to say we are proud of these U15 Clippers is an understatement. Our entire coaching staff tips our hats to these young players. This group worked so hard all year and significantly improved individual skill, individual tactics, team skills and team tactics to put themselves in a position to win meaningful hockey games. We closed out our year end tournament in Sexsmith today with a loss in the gold medal game proving we can hang with some really great tier 2 hockey teams and capturing a silver medal. We were missing a few players for various reasons and lost one (Ryder Calliou) to injury after game 1. Ryder was injured on a play that drew a penalty and helped us get the go ahead goal. Ryder wasn't able to play though his injury but we knew he and his other teammates were cheering us on.

Thank you to all our sponsors, llbmha folks, our community and player families for all the support this year and thank you to all the players for really giving your all everyday for your teammates.

Game 3 vs Fairview was a win! We're off to the gold medal game on Sunday at 11:30 AM!

We are so proud of the effort from the group today, battling at every turn!

The Heart and Hustle Award goes to Brennan Cardinal! Brennan was a BEAST and did whatever it took to give the team an advantage.

The Game MVP today was Harrison Britton! Harrison was a literal wall making big saves at big moments and keeping the momentum in our favour.

Game 2 saw us drop one to the host Sexsmith Vipers. Although it was a tight game for 60 mins, we got into penalty trouble and couldn't get it back.

Our Heart and Hustle Award goes to Darius Huppie. Darius played defence and forward today, worked incredibly hard and made some really smart plays in all 3 zones. Atta be Darius!

Our Game MVP today was Jake Byers. Jake also played both Fwd and D. Jake was physical and had poise all game long. Nice game Jake!
