Kenora Swimming Sharks At Kenora Swimming, our mission is to harness the discipline of competitive swimming to nurture an athlete's character and potential.

Centered around an athlete-focused, professionally guided, and parent-supported ethos, our goal is to empower swimmers to excel both in the water and in life. We champion a long-term philosophy that emphasizes skill and technical development at early stages, progressing to more advanced training as athletes mature. Our comprehensive approach caters to participants of all ages and skill levels, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to achieve their peak performance.

🏊 What a weekend in Winnipeg at GPI! 🏊

The Kenora Swimming Sharks brought home medals, personal bests, and even NATIONAL RECORDS from the Great Plains Invitational and we couldn't be more proud of every single swimmer who competed.

🥇 Sophie English broke both the Ontario AND Canadian records in the 200m backstroke, won six gold medals, and took home the High Point Trophy as the top female para athlete of the meet. Absolutely incredible, Sophie!

🥇 Liam Serino swept the breaststroke events and added gold in the 50m freestyle.

🥉Josephine Hill smashed the 1:30 barrier in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in 100M & 200M breaststroke.

And that's just the highlights — from our youngest swimmers to our senior athletes, the entire team showed up and delivered. Huge personal bests, finals appearances, and top-eight finishes across the board.

GPI Day 1 is in the books and the Kenora Swimming Sharks showed UP! 🦈💥

11 Sharks swam finals tonight — and we brought home 3 medals to kick things off!

We're actively starting the early September Swim Assessments list.

Race day is almost here! 🦈 This Saturday, 168 swimmers from across the NWO and Manitoba come to Kenora, including our 56 Sharks, who have put in the work all season for this moment. So proud of every one of them.

We’re pumped to be hosting the Swimming Sharks Swim Meet on April 18–19! Get ready for an action-packed weekend as talented swimmers hit the pool and give it their all 💥

🙌 Come out, bring the energy, and help us cheer on these amazing athletes as they race for their best times!

🚨 Heads up for our regular swimmers:

All public and program swims will be cancelled during the meet.
The pool will close early on Friday, April 17 at 6:30 PM so we can get everything set up for the big event.

Let’s pack the stands and show these swimmers some hometown support! 💙👏

🚨 Sophie English is heading to Ottawa — called up to represent at Swimming Canada's National Para Relay Camp. 🇨🇦

Sophie is one of a small group of young para swimmers chosen from across the country to help build Canada's relay program. Four days of high-performance training with Swimming Canada's national staff — exactly the kind of opportunity that changes the trajectory of an athlete's career.

This is a huge deal, and she's earned every bit of it.

We are so proud of you, Sophie. Go show them what Kenora is made of. 🦈💪
