We are currently in training for Bowen Therapy, a gentle bodywork technique that uses specific rolling movements over muscles, fascia, tendons, and connective tissue. What makes Bowen unique is the pauses between the movements, allowing the body time to process and respond. 🤍

Bowen sessions support relaxation, ease tension, fascia health ,improve mobility, support healthy lymphatic flow, and encourage the body’s natural healing processes. 🌿✨

🌿 There are great bodywork options available on Grand Manan, and Bowen brings something different and new.
Its gentle approach and intentional pauses make it a unique experience that many people find deeply relaxing.

A few of the things we really like about Bowen is that clients are fully clothed, with no oils required. The gentle movements can be applied to specific areas of the body, making it a wonderful option for people who prefer a gentler approach. 🤍

What makes Bowen different is that it is not the same for everyone. Each session is based on the individual and what they are experiencing. During the consultation, clients can share where they are having discomfort, tension, restriction, or pain, whether that’s in the shoulder, hip, knee, back, neck, or another area. 🌿

People often seek Bowen sessions for:

I like to share things that people can do at home to help calm the nervous system. Through my vagus nerve training, I’ve learned several simple techniques that I practice myself and often share with clients. 🌿

Here are a few to try:
✨ Humming
✨ Singing
✨ Gargling
✨ Slow breathing with a longer exhale
✨ Gentle eye exercises
✨ Hand-on-heart breathing
✨ Spending time in nature
✨ Laughing and connecting with others.

If you often feel stressed, overwhelmed, have trouble relaxing, struggle with sleep, or feel like you’re always on the go, these simple practices may help support your nervous system. 🤍✨
