The Village of Grand Manan is a small island community located in the Bay of Fundy, and is surrounded by several smaller islands. The Village was amalgamated on May 8, 1995; it is comprised of the former Villages of North Head, Grand Harbour and Seal Cove, and two former local service districts Castalia and Woodwards Cove. The population of the Village of Grand Manan according to the last census in 2006 was a year-round population of two thousand four hundred and sixty. The Council of the Village of Grand Manan is comprised of one Mayor and nine Councillors, of which a Deputy Mayor is elected.

Extra Dangerous Goods Crossing this Weekend

Please be advised that an additional Dangerous Goods crossing has been approved this weekend to help address the shortage of Supreme fuel following the last Dangerous Goods crossing from the refinery.
The extra crossings are scheduled as follows:

- Saturday the 12th: 9:00 PM crossing from Blacks
- Sunday the 13th: 7:30 AM crossing from North HeadWe appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work to maintain fuel supply and meet the needs of our communities.
A sincere thank you to the Province and Coastal Transport for their quick response and for approving this additional crossing.

🚧 Clean up is underway today of a dilapidated building in the Seal Cove Crick area. The Village has been working with the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure through the necessary approvals to get the work completed. Thank you to DTI for their co-operation and to Dutchmen Contracting for quick work on the project.
