Presented by Phoenix Petroleum LTD. Phoenix Measurement Integrators Ltd., Fredericton Marathon, and Sport New-Nouveau Brunswick, the Run for KidSport is an untimed fundraising event featuring 3K, 5K, and 8K run/walk options in support of KidSport NB/SportJeunesse NB
𝗡𝗼 𝗸𝗶𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀. KidSport NB helps remove financial barriers that prevent children from participating in organized sport, giving more kids the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive.

Participants can choose from 3K, 5K, or 8K out-and-back routes along Fredericton's beautiful riverfront trail system.

Earlier this year, the Fredericton Marathon launched the Fund in partnership with the Fredericton Community Foundation. This permanent endowment is designed to support our community for generations to come.
For 49 years, the Fredericton Marathon has brought people together through sport, celebration, and community spirit. Today, that legacy continues to grow. The Community Fund provides runners, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, and residents with another meaningful way to give back to the city that has embraced this beloved event for nearly five decades.

The Fredericton Marathon is inviting local charities to submit proposals to partner with us for our 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗿𝘂𝗻/𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 along the riverfront trails.
Since 2019, we’ve teamed up each autumn with a local charity to raise funds and awareness — and we’re opening the opportunity to the broader community for October 2026.

The Fredericton Marathon hosted the 2026 Run NB / Course N.-B. open 21.1k championships Sunday.
Allie Sandluck, of Thorburn, Nova Scotia, claimed the women’s half marathon championship title with Erin Coates, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, taking second and Julia Reid-Howell, of Fredericton, finishing third.
Halifax’s Matthew Beaver won the men’s title with Hayden Hollowell, of Moncton, placing second and Colin Calvert, of Montague Gold Mines, Nova Scotia coming third.
