📢 Important Update for Hunters and Anglers in Alberta: 2026 Draw Changes
Attention all outdoor enthusiasts! The Alberta government has released key changes regarding hunting draws for the upcoming year.
🔍 Key Highlights:
 Youth Hunting Eligibility: The minimum age for youth to hunt big game is now set at 10 years.
 Draw Changes for Non-Residents: Non-resident bighorn sheep draws will now be random, with no group applications permitted. Additionally, applications for non-resident antlered mule deer and moose will no longer be accepted starting in 2026.
 Hosting Regulations: Residents can still host two non-resident Canadians annually, but one must now be a family member.
🌲 Big Game Updates:
 Elk Seasons: Significant changes have been made, including the splitting of late elk seasons into separate draw options and new restrictions on weapon types for specific WMUs.
 Mule Deer Seasons: Archery-only seasons for antlered mule deer will now require a successful draw of a special licence.
