Work of ART Coaching

Work of ART Coaching Andrea Troughton
Personal Trainer, Holistic Health Coach, Author & Speaker I love helping clients improve their lifestyles and their self-esteem.

I believe that your body truly is a work of art, and it is deserving of your love. I want to help people make physical activity a regular part of their lives, by helping them to find activities that bring them joy, while also working toward their health and fitness goals. I believe in educating my clients on how to nourish their bodies and make healthful food choices, while still enjoying and appr

eciating the foods that they eat. Health and wellness is a way of life, and enjoying the process and finding your personal balance is key.

Self care gets to meet you where you are.

Some days, that might mean a full workout, a grocery shop, a good night’s sleep, or spending time with people you love. Other days, it might mean three deep breaths, a cup of tea, or watching a cute cat video because that’s what you have capacity for.

None of these options are “better” than the others. They just serve different needs at different times.

So, what are you ordering from the self care menu today? 💛

Lifting weights is one of the best ways to support your long term wellness physically, mentally, and emotionally.

It’s not about how you look after, it’s about how you feel.

What reasons did I miss? Add your body-neutral benefits of lifting weights in the comments!

You don’t need to be a great cook, follow recipes perfectly, or make everything from scratch to support your health.

For a lot of people, cooking is just another task at the end of a long day. And when it feels overwhelming or inaccessible, it can actually become a barrier to eating altogether.

Making things easier, whether that’s using convenience foods, repeating simple meals, or skipping steps that don’t work for you, can be one of the most supportive things you do for yourself.

I’d love to hear… what’s one way you make eating easier for yourself right now?

You can love yourself even if you don’t always love your body.

You can be unhappy with your body and still care for it with compassion.

You can be uncomfortable in your body and still have gratitude for all it does.

A healthy relationship with your body can be built on compassion, care, and gratitude. You deserve that 🧡

When it comes to exercise, always remember the KISS principle:

Keep - It - Simple - Silly 😜

A lot of the intense or complicated exercises you see online are totally unnecessary, and sometimes even dangerous.

The most effective exercise routine is one that you’ll come back to again and again, and keeping it simple is the key to repeatability.

In the gym, that means working on the basics and mastering common movement patterns.

Outside of the gym, it looks like walking more, adding more non-exercise activity, and engaging in activities that you genuinely enjoy.

What’s one simple form of movement you’re genuinely enjoying right now?

There’s protein cereal.
Protein chips.
Protein coffee.
Protein ice cream.
Protein everything.

And while protein is important, the internet’s current obsession with maximizing protein at all costs can make nutrition feel way more complicated than it needs to be.

Protein can support energy, muscle recovery, strength, and overall health. But it’s also just one piece of the puzzle.
→ Carbohydrates give us energy.
→ Fats support hormones and brain function.
→ Fibre supports digestion.
→ Enjoyment, satisfaction, culture, access, routine, and convenience matter too.

You do not need to optimize every meal or jump on every fitness trend in order to support your health. And you don’t need to turn every snack into a fitness project.

You can build strength, feel accomplished, and support your wellbeing without obsessing over every gram.

Remember: nutrition should support your life, not consume it. 🧡
