“World Record!
As part of the State Youth Fire Department Day and the city festival, we successfully established the longest tensioned high-angle rope rescue system ever constructed for a personnel rescue operation. The system spanned an impressive 173 metres (568 feet).
The two anchor points were set from the roof of the Panorama Tower to a HLF 20 (Heavy Rescue Pumper) positioned at ground level.
Following the setup, a rope rescue technician safely lowered a victim to the ground using the system.
