Lessons from the land. 🍃🕷️
I don’t know about you but I do not enjoy the company of a spider.
In fact, they invoke some sort of reaction that is not becoming of a lady 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don’t know where this comes from, I mean this relative has not hurt me in any way-maybe when I watched Arachnophobia when I was young!?
That movie was 😳! If you seen it, raise your hand! 😜
Anyways, years ago I was told when a spider crosses your path, it’s a grandmother coming to visit. So I have a whole new perspective when I see a spider. Full disclosure tho: it’s still my instinct to step on this relative but I refrain. I let my panic breath for a moment first 😂 but I collect myself and say “why hello!” & thank you for the reminder. You see, whenever I see a spider, I remember the teachings the grandmothers brought into my life.
Especially the teaching of love. 🩷
This week I offered a “lightning talk” called Matriach love: a drum song and a crown.
And in that talk, I took a moment to pay homage to the Matriach’s-the wisdom, the songs, the strength & the ceremonies they have shared with us.
I am because they were/are. 🤍
They walked so we can fly. 🤍
When I came back from vacation, one of the first places I visited was the studio! It’s one of my favourite places in the world 😘
And who showed up to greet me!??
In that moment, I felt the love the universe.
We are never alone. 🤍
