Three cheers for COACH LYLE!

For the past two weeks, our U9, U11 and U13 players have been back at the rink, shaking off the summer rust, working hard and getting ready for the season ahead.

But none of it happens without the people behind the bench.

A HUGE THANK YOU to LYLE for the endless hours he put into planning and running these camps, showing up day after day for every age group and helping our Hawks get back into hockey mode.

And to the assistant coaches who joined him on the ice throughout the two weeks — thank you for giving your time, energy and expertise to our players.

Lyle, we know how much goes into making two weeks like this happen, and we cannot thank you enough. We’re incredibly lucky to have you as part of the Hawks. 🖤💛

🏒 U11 FAMILIES — PATHWAY SKATE SIGN-UP IS OPEN!

Before evaluations get underway, U11 players have the option to hit the ice for two U11 Player Pathway development skates, September 8–11.

So… what exactly are Pathway Skates?

They’re development skates, NOT evaluations. They are an opportunity to get back on the ice, work on skills, shake off a little summer rust and get comfortable with full ice before evaluations begin.

Players will be divided into four groups, with each group receiving two skates:

📅 Tuesday, Sept. 8 – Groups 1 & 2
📅 Wednesday, Sept. 9 – Groups 3 & 4
📅 Thursday, Sept. 10 – Groups 1 & 2
📅 Friday, Sept. 11 – Groups 3 & 4

🚨 Evaluation Dates Have Arrived! 🏒

The countdown to hockey season is officially on!

We’ve released the 2026–2027 Hawks Evaluation Schedule to help families get these important dates on the calendar before September gets busy.

A few things to know:
📅 The times shown are evaluation windows. Each player will be assigned a specific ice time within the window listed.
📍 All evaluations will take place at Castledowns Arena. Specific arena assignments and player schedules will be shared closer to evaluations.
🔄 Dates and times are subject to change. The final evaluation schedule will be posted on our website and shared through our social media channels.

❗ Haven’t registered yet? There’s still time in select divisions. Register as soon as possible so we can finalize evaluation groups and start planning for another great Hawks season.

Did you know that for every hour your player spends on the ice, there are countless volunteer hours happening behind the scenes?

From securing ice and managing registrations, to evaluations, tournaments, development programs, communications, finances, sponsorships, and everything in between — it takes a dedicated team of volunteers to make Hawks hockey possible.

We’d love for you to join us at our Annual General Meeting on June 24.

Whether you’re curious about how the club operates, interested in hearing what’s ahead for next season, or considering getting more involved, the AGM is a great opportunity to learn more about the community behind the jersey.
