Fliteway Figure Skating Club based out of Castle Downs Arena but utilizing both Glengarry and Grand Trunk arenas, have been providing North Edmonton residents with skating lessons for over 40 years. A new era brings a new outlook with more well balanced skater based programs per week and affordable year round training available at all levels. From taking the first steps

on the ice, to learning how to do crossovers or competing at Canadians our experienced coaching staff have tailored our programs to accelerate learning in a fun, positive environment. Fliteway provides the tools needed to skate for fun and fitness, to skate on a ringette or hockey team or to land that triple jump. Our customized programs use progressive skating techniques in a supportive team atmosphere, allowing all skaters, at all levels to (take FLITE)

There was so much going on the past few month with test days, competitions, Performance Days and seminars that we didn't get the chance to announce some very special award winners!!

Every year our club nominates skaters and volunteers for the Alberta Section Awards.

We had 2 members win for Edmonton:

Javinu - for Podium Pathway Athlete Award
Javinu competed in Pre Novice Men category in the Alberta Sectionals competition and was able to qualify for Nationals in the Pre Novice category!!

Amanda - for Volunteer Award
In case you didn't know, Amanda is our Treasurer and does a fabulous job at amongst other things that she juggles around in her life!!

We had 1 member win for the whole province of Alberta!!

Om - for the Section Special Olympic Skater Achievement Award.
Om is known for his great smile and loves saying hi to all the members of Fliteway.

Congratulations to all 3 members!! We are so proud of everyone :)

Wowza, it has been a busy Spring Session !! Performance Day, competition, seminar & test days!!!

We would like to take a moment for a few thanks....thank you to the Board for all of their work for our club.

Thank you goes to our Evaluators: Judy and Deb for coming out and evaluating our skaters!!

Thanks goes out to Nikki our Test Chair & Tophie our dance partner for all of their hard work for the test days!!

And of course a thanks to you our members for continually supporting our club and making the best place to be 😊.

If we missed your test on the following announcement, our apologies. It wasn't intentional...there were a LOT of tests passed !!!
