Introducing the new Millwoods Hockey Board! 🏒🐻

Some people say it takes a village… we say it takes a group chat with 847 unread messages, way too much coffee, and at least one person asking “whose turn is it to bring Timbits?” 😂

Our amazing board is already hard at work planning another fun, successful season for our players and families. Behind every great hockey season is a team of volunteers working together, sharing laughs, supporting each other, and occasionally debating the proper amount of arena heater usage. ❄️☕️

Teamwork isn’t just for the ice — it’s what makes our association strong. We’re excited for a season full of hockey, community, friendships, and fun both on and off the ice!

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR MILLWOODS HOCKEY FAMILIES 🚨

Starting for the 2026–2027 season, Hockey Alberta & Hockey Canada are introducing the new *Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture* program.

This updated parent course replaces Respect in Sport for many families and is REQUIRED for registration if your current certification has expired (certificates are valid for 3 years).

✅ One course covers all players on your Spordle account
✅ Approx. 1.5 hours to complete
✅ Cost is about $12
✅ Helps support a healthier hockey culture on AND off the ice

We highly recommend getting this done early to avoid registration delays when registration opens June 1! 🏒
